INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round pan.
2. Make the cake batter: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
