Tasty ham and cheese roll

 

This delicious bread stuffed with ham, cheese, and fresh vegetables is the perfect meal for any occasion – from a cozy dinner to a picnic!
Ingredients:
1 loaf of fresh bread dough (store-bought or homemade) 🍞
6 slices of ham 🍖
6 slices of cheese (mozzarella, provolone, or your favorite) 🧀
2 medium tomatoes, sliced ​​🍅
1/2 red onion, thinly sliced ​​🧅
1 tablespoon olive oil 🧴
1 teaspoon dried oregano 🌿
Fresh herbs for garnish (parsley, basil, or oregano) 🌿
Salt and pepper to taste 🧂
Instructions:
Preheat the oven: Heat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the dough: Roll out the fresh dough on a flat surface into a rectangular shape.
Assemble the filling: Layer the ham, cheese, tomato slices, and red onion evenly over the dough. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with dried oregano, salt, and pepper for flavor.
Roll it up: Starting from one edge, carefully roll the dough into a log shape, tucking in the edges to seal the filling inside.
Bake the roll: Place the rolled dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the top with olive oil and sprinkle with fresh herbs. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted inside.
Slice and serve: Once out of the oven, let the roll cool slightly. Slice into thick portions and serve with a side of dipping sauce, such as marinara or ranch dressing.
