Grilled tomahawk steak with fried mozzarella sticks and spicy sauce recipe

 

Ingredients:
For the Tomahawk Steak:
1 tomahawk ribeye steak (2-3 pounds)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
For the Mozzarella Sticks:
1 package frozen mozzarella sticks
Vegetable oil (for frying)
For the Spicy Sauce:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons hot sauce (your choice)
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon honey
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Prepare the Steak:
Pat the steak dry with paper towels.
Rub with olive oil and season generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
Let the steak rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Grill the Steak:
Preheat your grill to high heat.
Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes per side to develop a crust.
Lower the grill temperature to medium and continue cooking until the internal temperature reaches your desired doneness:
Rare: 125°F (52°C)
Medium-rare: 135°F (57°C)
Medium: 145°F (63°C)
Let the steak rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Fry the Mozzarella Sticks:
Heat the vegetable oil in a pan or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
Fry the mozzarella sticks in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
Remove and drain on paper towels.
Make the Spicy Sauce:
Combine mayonnaise, hot sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, and honey in a bowl.
Mix well and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. To serve:
Plate the tomahawk steak alongside the crispy mozzarella sticks.
Serve with the spicy sauce on the side.
